USCIS announces it has opened a new virtual service center. This center will not be based in any specific geographical location, but will employ officers remotely to review applications. This will not result in any immediate changes to where you mail your application or what applications you may file online. However, as always, you may wish to double check USCIS.gov and search for "Where to File" before sending in your application.
The new Center will be charged with processing applications for Humanitarian Parole, Adjustment of Status, Removal of Conditions, and Travel Documents. We predict it may be three to six months before we start to see significant reduction of processing times for those applications. As well, with these applications being taken out of their current processing centers, we also hypothesize that within a year, other applications will also start to see a reduction in average processing time (USCIS has shared with Congress that one of its primary goals is to reduce the processing time for asylum applications).
Current clients, if your application(s) for Humanitarian Parole or Adjustment of Status has already been or will soon be submitted, you may not see much change in your processing time. For those not ready to submit until the second half of year, you may get an adjudication quicker than your friends that applied before today.

Este centro no tendrá su sede en ninguna ubicación geográfica específica, pero empleará funcionarios de forma remota para revisar las solicitudes. Clientes actuales, si su(s) solicitud(es) de libertad condicional humanitaria o ajuste de estatus ya se han presentado o se presentarán pronto, es posible que no vea muchos cambios en el tiempo de procesamiento. Para aquellos que no estén listos para enviar hasta la segunda mitad del año, es posible que obtengan una adjudicación más rápido que sus amigos que solicitaron antes de hoy.
